“Dharma instructions teach us how to make ourself and others happy.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, The New Meditation Handbook
We all want to be happy, but how often do we seek happiness outside ourself? It might seem like a cliché, but it’s true that we’ll never be happy with anyone else if we’re not happy with ourself. The first step to finding happiness inside ourself is working on our own mind. Therefore, the basic Buddhist meditations are for establishing happiness within our own mind.
In these classes, Gen Norbu will introduce and guide the basic Buddhist meditations for establishing happiness within our own mind. Start at the beginning of the series if you can, but if you miss the beginning then start when you are able.
